AS indicated, if your parents are in the military, there is a bookstore on base that sells books at US prices. I'm sure that if you present them with a list of titles, they will get them for you at US prices. They are or were great this way.

I was a civilian working in the Ed. Center in Europe for 4 years. The bookstore was great.

The base library was also a godsend. They went out of their way to get books on ILL.

That said, if you are living on the economy, there is no reason you can't buy books off amazon or ebay. Do check and see if you can get a discount on mailing if you buy more than one book.

Even if you are not associated with the military, you may very well be welcome to go on base for any literary activities or just for a little bit of being back in The World/Land of the Round Doorknobs. As far as I know, military bases aren't closed. You may have to get some sort of base ID or pass, but it would be worth it. This would also be a way of associating with others of your own age group.

Besides as you are an Intelligent, charming, witty, fascinating & incidently very attractive young woman, I'm sure there are some young GIs who like to meet you. Possibly another reason for going on base.

Seriously, I hope this helps. I like to go thru 2 books a week so I understand.

Of course, if you learn japanese, which I recommend, there is a lot to read in Japanese. You may like anime/manga.

Hm, not bad, I’ll google it, and yeah, I use junk emails mostly.

I have the hardback version of “Pearls of Lutra” (that’s Redwall) but I don’t like paper. I wanna read it online, no? Yeah. And to make sure it’s the right book, I’l compare it with my Library copy.
I have to have all these books read by monday (for Accelerated Reader) , and it is SO relieveing that I can read it online.

I like reading, but not at home, only at school, with the exception of Warriors: Outcast.
